The William H. Miner

Agricultural Research Institute

Outreach
Miner Institute is committed to its mission of research, education, and demonstration. Within the scope of that mission is community outreach. We aim to educate and inform the public about the agricultural industry and its role in our region, as well as its impact on the environment.

Farm Days for Fifth Graders

Miner Institute hosts Farm Days for 5th Graders generally during the first full week of June. Farm Days allows students the opportunity to observe agriculture in action. Our mission in this program is to help students become more aware of agriculture in our community and its impact on our daily lives.

High School Chemistry Program

Students from four local high schools come to Miner Institute for a series of workshops on understanding modeling water bodies, water quality, drinking water and river systems. The program complements the Regents chemistry curriculum.
