Threshing Grain in the Field (1925)

In 1914, crop yields at Heart's Delight Farm had an average oat crop at 97 bushels per acre, compared to the national average of 29;
and an average of sixtons per acre of timothy and alfalfa hay, compared to national average of 1.5 tons.
This was accomplished by the use of drain tiles, crop rotation, scientific fertilization, and thorough cultivation.
